Sunekos®

What is Sunekos?

Sunekos is a cosmetic injectable bio-regenerating treatment that uses a patent formula (HY66A) containing Hyaluronic Acid and Amino Acids.

This precise and patented formula triggers the regeneration of the extracellular matrix (ECM) resulting in the production of collagen and elastin.

Sunekos is entirely diIerent to dermal filler treatments that are used to fill an area needing volume and instead focuses on regenerating your skin from within.

The award-winning Sunekos improves signs of ageing by enhancing, stimulating and boosting the production of new collagen and elastin, helping rebuild and rejuvenate your skin from within.

Skin looks plumper, tighter, brighter and more hydrated, with a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and an improvement in the appearance of dark circles and eye bags.

How it works

Sunekos corrects and protects the dermis from signs of ageing as it stimulates the fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, bio-regenerating your skin from within.

Sunekos is administered through a fine needle or a cannula. The procedure is relatively painless, and a topical anaesthetic can be applied before treatment.

Sunekos treatment protocol recommends a series of three treatments to achieve optimal results.

What results can you expect?

A reduction in the severity of your wrinkles, hydration to both the superficial and deep layers of your skin, a desirable volumising eIect and a dramatic boost to your elastin and collagen.

You’ll find that there is a noticeable improvement after your first session. The skin will feel plumper and wrinkles will be reduced. These results will get better over time.

  • Increase firmness and elasticity

  • Decrease fine lines and wrinkles

  • Deeply hydrate and moisturise skin

  • Improve skin brightness and texture

What is it used to treat?

  • Face

  • Neck

  • Décolletage

  • Eyes

  • Hands

What does treatment involve?

A series of injections that can be uncomfortable, annoying and may sting for a few seconds but the discomfort is brief and resolves quickly. Topical anaesthetic is often applied 30 minutes prior to treatment. Treatment itself takes approximately 15-20 minutes

It is recommended to initially have a series of 3 Sunekos treatments, 14 days apart to achieve optimal results. Changes can often be visible after the first treatment session.

As Sunekos is a true bio-regenerator and improves the patient’s own physiology, the results are continuous. However, due to the natural aging process we recommend 2-3 treatments per year to maintain results. Having continuous or additional treatments will not cause harm to the patient.

Is there any down time?

There is minimal downtime with Sunekos and you can resume your normal activities post treatment. Swelling is often the most common side effect and usually shows immediately especially around the eye area if treated. Swelling will go down after 4- 48 hours.

Are there any side effects?

The side effects are specific to the risks involved with injection sites; Bleeding, bruising, swelling, numbness, redness, itching and/or pain post treatment. These symptoms are expected to resolve between 4 and 48 hours. Inflammation, infections, and slight discolouration of the treated areas may occur. If the patient suffers from poor wound healing, delayed healing may occur. More serious side effects from Sunekos injections are rare, however, if you observe side effects around the treated area that last longer than one week, you should inform your practitioner.

Who can have Sunekos?

Sunekos is a treatment indicated both for young, still elastic, and vital skin, to slow down the physiological aging process, and for mature skin to reduce the signs of aging, reactivating cellular functionality.

Can a treatment be combined with other products and procedures?

A combination of cosmetic products and/or procedures in addition to regular Sunekos injections is often recommended. However because of the bio-regenerator properties of Sunekos less may be required. It is recommended to wait 2-4 weeks post the last treatment of Sunekos prior to having dermal filler or any other cosmetic treatment.

Topical serums and skin care are advised to further enhance the appearance of the skin by evening skin tones, plumping, hydrating, nourishing, and probably most importantly protecting it.

Collectively a combination of these treatments will facilitate a more youthful rejuvenated appearance overall. Timing tends to be the issue with combination treatments and it is important you let your Cosmetic Nurse or Doctor know if you have recently had a skin treatment of any kind. There is often a recommended downtime between treatments to ensure optimal results and to avoid adverse effects of one treatment interfering with another.
